CASE STUDY:
NETMASTER, INC.
Rebranding, Marketing Materials, & Product Packaging

BACKGROUND

Having created the original low-cost brand identity for Netmaster back in early 2000, it was finally time to update their look and feel to something that accurately described their current services and professional products on offer.

CHALLENGE

It was obvious that the former outdated logo was in need of a smattering of changes and a total rework. Through ideation and conceptualization, it was decided to create a “lock and key” mechanism made from the ‘n’ and make it the focal point in the overall branding strategy. Through simplification and modification, the logo became a more fundamental archetype by using positive and negative space. Upon finding a more modern typeface, everything came into a crystal clear focus.

OUTCOME

Upon completion of the new brand identity for Netmaster, Inc., we moved into the next phase of branding their flagship product, Gateway Guardian a password management and software solution for individual computers to very large networks and was about to debut a hardware version of the product in the form of a USB drive. It was important to make this product look bold, strong, and easily recognizable regardless of medium. The simplified solution to the Gateway Guardian brand and packaging made it a ‘knock out of the park’ for the client.
