BACKGROUND

The Canadian Mental Health Association, Vancouver-Fraser, was in need of help to produce their annual report. They asked around and someone lovely name-dropped us. This led to many years of great work and we are happy and very proud to work with them for the greater purpose of the local Vancouver community.

CHALLENGE

Working with an established brand has lots of benefits with very few creative drawbacks. Even though an existing brand has its own unique appearance and rules, there are still many opportunities for a talented designer or artist to bring their own unique vision or style to the project.

On the short-term, one needs to understand how to effectively implement the brand within the existing guidelines as quickly as possible, especially if there is a quick turn around involved. Lucky for us, CMHA’s brand guidelines were simple and easy to follow, and it allowed us to quickly become orientated and move forward to produce exactly what the client wanted and deliver something spectacular in a short period of time.
